Ready, Set, Dash!

Get ready for a joyful run/walk down Hastings Street that’s perfect for all ages and abilities—wheelchairs and strollers are welcome! Whether you're sprinting or strolling, this is a chance to get moving and celebrate being active with the people you love.

This inclusive event is free for everyone and part of the ParticipACTION Community Challenge right here in Burnaby!

This short ’dash' down Hastings Street is presented by the Heights Merchants Association and supported by local businesses.

Gather Your Team

  1. Children 2 years and older need a team captain over 15 years old to accompany them.
  2. Team Captains are responsible for ensuring all members of their team cross the finish line.
  3. Wait for the race horn to sound before dashing down Hastings Street towards Carleton Avenue, where a team of Burnaby Firefighters will be at the finish line, at Carelton Ave & Hastings St, to give you a hi-five!

Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. Please no recreational scooters, bikes, etc.

How To Enter

START LOCATION THIS YEAR: 3-block distance from Ingleton to Carleton.

ALL PARTICIPANTS LINE UP AT INGLETON AVENUE FOR WARMUP at 9:30am. The finish line will be the same for all participants, just past Carleton.
